We are an intensive language school with 47 years of experience teaching language skills to students of numerous nationalities, ages and interests. Our Spanish school was founded in 1979 and offers a variety of programs in Spanish as a second language: Spanish courses for general purposes, professional purposes and programs for young learners. We are accredited and recognized by the Peruvian Ministry of Education and the Cusco Chamber of Commerce.
At Excel, our goal is to provide high-quality, effective, intensive Spanish instruction customized to meet the needs of each individual and to immerse students in the culture and history of Peru. We aim to do this in a relaxed, informal and friendly environment, and we pride ourselves on the friendly family atmosphere we are able to create.

Immersive Language Learning in the Heart of Incan Heritage
Excel’s approach to language acquisition
Excel offers its students an exciting approach to language acquisition which focuses on the development of proficency in the four basic communication skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. All of the activities in the program are carefully selected to help develop proficency in communication rather tan simply memorizing gramatical structures and our Staff is encouraged to adapt course material to meet the needs of the individuals. Excel programs are conducted in a relaxed and somewhat informal manner, with the emphasis on providing interesting and comprehensible class materials that encourage student involvement and participation. Classes are supplemented by visits and cultural activities.
Excel's Location at the Center of the Universe
We are ideally located near the Center of Cusco, the wonderful, historical, imperial city of the Incas, the Incan center of the Universe, and jumping off point for travels to Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley.
